About the Role:

As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Oncology, you will act as a trusted scientific partner to the oncology community throughout the Netherlands. Your responsibilities will include fostering relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders, facilitating scientific discussions, and generating insights to inform medical strategies and enhance patient outcomes.

This role operates at the intersection of science, data, and innovation, playing a crucial part in advancing Takeda's oncology portfolio. You will support evidence generation initiatives, inform strategic decision-making, and ensure that patient needs remain central to our mission. This is a field-based position requiring travel across the Netherlands, with approximately 80% of your time spent engaging externally.

How You Will Contribute:

• Serve as the scientific expert for Takeda's oncology portfolio and related disease areas.
• Establish and maintain trusted partnerships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and external experts.
• Lead scientific discussions and effectively communicate complex clinical data.
• Provide scientific education through meetings, advisory boards, congresses, and other medical activities.
• Collect and analyze insights on clinical practices, unmet patient needs, treatment trends, and the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Translate field insights into actionable recommendations for medical strategy and business decisions.
• Support evidence generation initiatives, investigator-sponsored research, and clinical trial activities as needed.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional colleagues on medical plans, product lifecycle management, and launch readiness.
• Utilize digital, omnichannel, CRM, and AI-enabled tools to enhance stakeholder engagement and insight generation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, ethical standards, pharmacovigilance requirements, and Takeda policies.

What You Bring to Takeda:

• MSc degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related scientific discipline; MD, PharmD, or PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison, Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, or related scientific role.
• Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies, study design, and scientific data interpretation.
• Proven ability to build productive relationships with healthcare professionals and external experts.
• Strategic thinking and insight generation capabilities, with the ability to translate scientific information into practical recommendations.
• Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary and matrix organizations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt messages for various audiences.
• Digital proficiency, including experience with CRM systems, analytics platforms, and modern engagement tools.
• High ethical standards and commitment to compliance, quality, and patient-centricity.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Oncology.
• Background in supporting advisory boards, medical education initiatives, or evidence generation activities.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled insight generation and digital engagement tools.
• Launch experience is a plus but not mandatory.
