The Media Operations Manager reports directly to the VP Technology and is responsible for leading the Media Operations team, which handles the entire media lifecycle from acquisition through to distribution. This role is integral to the Technology Department at TERN.

The Role

You will act as the Product Owner for our Media Asset Management system and serve as the Subject-Matter Expert for the business. Your responsibilities include:

Driving the continuous development and enhancement of the system, workflows, and processes through effective change management aligned with business needs.
Providing escalated support to users and being the main point of contact for BAU communication with associated vendors.

Responsibilities

Ensure the Media Operations team is adequately resourced to provide appropriate availability and support to businesses under the WSMG Holding.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports to maintain team health and address any staffing issues.
Complete performance reviews in line with HR procedures.
Collaborate across departments to anticipate Media Operations requirements.
Work with Technical Project Managers, IT, and the VP Technology to enhance media-related processes and workflows continually.
Ensure all documentation is current.
Coordinate, quality check, and ingest all RAW rushes, TX masters, localization, and associated technical deliverables into the MAM and BMS.
Liaise with playout and content partners to ensure timely delivery of all materials. If any material fails QC, ensure replacement content is provided or corrective actions are taken.
Serve as the media contact for content buyers to ensure all media asset outputs and other required elements are delivered on time and meet agreed technical specifications.
Provide technical guidance to production and outside broadcast teams to ensure proper tooling and workflows are in place to meet technical specifications.
Offer technical support as needed.
