In Team Zorgtoeleiding, you will work outreach with clients who often remain unseen. More than half of them are homeless. You don’t wait for someone to reach out; instead, you actively seek contact at home, on the streets, in shelters, or within the community. You build trust step by step and help clients find their way back to suitable mental health care.

The Role

As a Master Psychologist, you will be part of an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial team of SPVs, psychiatrists, and physician assistants. Your responsibilities include:

Conducting diagnostic screenings primarily for young adults;
Collaborating with psychiatrists and SPVs to perform initial diagnostics;
Offering secondary prevention through module presentations;
Engaging with individuals who do not have an immediate help request.

Depending on your competencies and interests, we will further define your tasks within the team.

What We Offer

Employment conditions according to the CAO GGZ, scale 60 (min. €4,544 and max. €5,901 gross based on 36 hours);
A one-year contract for 24-36 hours per week with the intention to convert to a permanent position upon good performance;
An end-of-year bonus of 8.33% and 8.33% vacation pay;
You build a good pension with the Pension Fund for Care and Welfare.

About the Company

Zorgtoeleiding is here for Amsterdammers in vulnerable positions who have (suspected) psychiatric disorders, possibly in combination with addiction issues. Due to care-avoiding behavior or the absence of a help request that aligns with existing treatment options, these individuals do not access regular care.

Zorgtoeleiding performs psychiatric diagnostics and, if necessary, directs individuals to psychiatric treatment or connects them with their general practitioner (or POH-GGZ) or agencies outside of mental health care. With a broad perspective, Zorgtoeleiding operates both within and outside of mental health care, at the intersection of care and the social domain. We are available for consultations and (outreach) psychiatric diagnostics. Consultations are conducted at home, in social shelters, drop-in centers, community centers, and Arkin locations. Our vision is that nearby mental health care is essential and that we are a flexible link between non-mental health care and (specialized) mental health care providers. Zorgtoeleiding does what is necessary, as briefly as possible and as long as needed, serving 350 to 400 clients per year.
