Vertom is a supplier and expert in global maritime services with over 45 years of experience. While specialized in chartering services, Vertom offers a comprehensive package including a large fleet of over 80 vessels, liner services, technical management, agencies, maritime cleaning, and cable recovery. Our technical management operates from Neermoor (Germany) and Groningen (Netherlands) for 64 of our vessels, with 21 currently sailing under the Dutch flag, and plans to expand this number. We are regularly seeking crew for various ranks on our vessels, which include coasters and multipurpose ships ranging from 3,000 to 10,000 dwt, operating in areas such as:

• Wild sailing/coastal shipping (North-West Europe & Mediterranean)
• Worldwide (primarily Europe, North America, Asia)
• Liner services (European-Caribbean)

Wat verwachten wij van jou?

We are looking for someone who is precise and proactive, and enjoys working in an international and dynamic environment. You should remain calm and adaptable during ad-hoc tasks and be willing to travel and work during weekends and evenings. Delivering both good and bad news is part of the job, and you value engagement with your colleagues on board. Ideally, you have some experience in crew or personnel management, gained through work experience and/or education (e.g., in shipping, HRM, or business administration).

Ben jij:

• In possession of all required documents to serve in the desired position (or able to obtain them within a reasonable timeframe), such as a valid navigation license, seaman's book, STCW requirements, etc.
• Not afraid to take on responsibilities.
• Independent and stress-resistant.

En heb jij:

• Good communication and administrative skills.
• Proficient knowledge of computer systems.
• Good command of English, and preferably Dutch.
• Experience with project cargo and (loading and unloading) cranes for multipurpose vessels is a plus.
