We are collaborating with a prominent specialty insurance firm in the Benelux market, seeking to hire a Marine Underwriting Assistant to enhance their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin or further their career in insurance, especially those passionate about the Marine sector.
The Role
You will provide underwriting support across the Marine portfolio, collaborating closely with Underwriters and the broader team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation, review, and processing of new and renewal business.
- Accurately reviewing and inputting policy, risk, and client information into underwriting systems.
- Supporting Underwriters with risk analysis, documentation, and pricing information.
- Liaising with brokers and other stakeholders to gather and clarify information.
- Assisting with policy administration, endorsements, renewals, and other underwriting documentation.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records while ensuring compliance with internal underwriting procedures.
