In the role of Marine Compliance Officer, you will play a vital part in maintaining the safety and compliance of our vessels. You will assist the Marine Compliance department in applying our Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensuring adherence to Class and Flag requirements throughout the fleet. Your responsibilities will include conducting internal audits, representing the company during external audits, and managing the fleet's certification and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Review and update the IMS and other relevant company and vessel documents.
- Assist the DPA/CSO in implementing ISM procedures across the fleet.
- Audit vessels to verify compliance with the IMS, Class, and Flag requirements, which may involve travel abroad.
- Represent the company in external audits (Flag, Class, ISO) and support the process until successful closure.
- Follow up on non-conformities identified during internal and external audits until resolved.
- Prepare the annual audit plan for the office and vessels.
- Coordinate with Flag and Class on surveys and certificate renewals, and track Class surveys and certificates.
- Manage document control for technical documents, certificates, drawings, and plans, in both hard and soft copies.
- Maintain and update the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
- Collect and distribute the latest Flag, IMO, and IMCA circulars to the vessels.
- Prepare internal fleet circulars and monitor monthly IMS fleet documentation and correspondence.
