The Role

As the Managing Director for MiFID in the EU, you will act as the primary regulatory owner of Bitget EU's MiFID II investment services, ensuring full compliance with conduct of business rules. You will lead engagement with the FMA on investment services and market conduct, while maintaining fit & proper standards as required by FMA and ESMA guidelines. Additionally, you will define and execute the commercial strategy for MiFID II products across European markets, drive client acquisition, and manage relationships with retail, professional, and institutional clients.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with MiFID II conduct of business rules, including best execution and product governance obligations.
• Lead ongoing engagement with the FMA regarding investment services and market conduct.
• Define and execute Bitget EU's commercial strategy for MiFID II products.
• Drive client acquisition and relationship management across various client segments.
• Oversee the development and launch of MiCAR crypto asset services and MiFID II regulated products.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with institutional counterparties and banks.
• Represent Bitget EU externally with clients, media, and regulators.
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to meet regulatory obligations.
• Implement product governance policies and manage conflicts of interest.
• Support FMA supervisory inspections related to investment services.

Requirements

• Experience with derivative products, with commercial or operational responsibility.
• Deep understanding of financial market infrastructure, including custody and order management systems.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulated environment (e.g., banks, investment firms).
