The Role

As the Managing Director for Bitget EU, you will oversee regulatory compliance, commercial strategy, and business development for our MiFID II products across European markets.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary regulatory owner of Bitget EU's MiFID II investment services.
• Ensure full compliance with MiFID II conduct of business rules, including best execution, suitability, appropriateness, and product governance obligations.
• Lead ongoing engagement with the FMA regarding investment services, market conduct, and front office activities.
• Maintain fit & proper standards as required by FMA and ESMA guidelines.
• Define and execute Bitget EU's commercial strategy for MiFID II products.
• Drive client acquisition and relationship management across retail, professional, and institutional client segments.
• Lead the development and launch of MiCAR crypto asset services and MiFID II regulated products, including crypto derivatives.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with institutional counterparties, liquidity providers, banks, and distribution partners.
• Represent Bitget EU externally with clients, media, industry bodies, and regulators.
• Work closely with Legal and Compliance to ensure front office activities meet all regulatory obligations.
• Lead the implementation of product governance policies.
• Ensure conflicts of interest are identified, managed, and disclosed appropriately across front office activities.
• Support preparation for and management of FMA supervisory inspections relating to investment services.

Requirements

• Experience with derivative products, having been commercially or operationally responsible for them.
• Deep understanding of financial market infrastructure, including custody, settlement, clearing, and order management systems.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., banks, investment firms, or other licensed institutions).
