In the role of Manager Technical Advice Installation Technology (and Safety), you will actively contribute to the development of knowledge, build expertise, and stimulate (innovative) development in installation technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, transport technology, or security installations. The Role

As the manager of the Technical Advice Installation Technology (and Safety) section, you will lead three teams consisting of a total of 24 driven professionals. You will coach them not only in their work but also ensure that their expertise is optimally utilized. Although your team works throughout the country, you will regularly meet at one of our offices to discuss projects, share knowledge, and coordinate the latest developments. This way, despite the physical distance, you remain connected and work together on a safe and future-proof real estate portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Enhance knowledge and expertise in cybersecurity and translate the impact of BIO compliance.
• Develop risk-driven asset management, contributing technical content.
• Ensure integrated advice, for example, during the implementation of GACS within a real estate management organization.

Collaboration is central: you will work closely with colleagues from the Transactions & Projects Directorate, Architecture and Technology department, who deploy similar expertise for new construction. Additionally, you will have a coordinating role for safety within the real estate management directorate, advocating for the directorate's interests and collaborating closely with heads of other sections to maintain the Rijksvastgoedbedrijf at step 3 of the safety ladder. As part of the Technical Expertise management team, you will play a key role in the strategic direction of the department.

How you will approach this is something we are very curious about. You have the freedom to shape and further develop this role. The department has an important position within the real estate management chain and has had its current organic form for about four years. It has a solid foundation but requires flexibility to participate in a future-proof manner. The developments around us are rapid, and the department's development potential is significant. It is your task to further stimulate this while also managing it.

Additional Information

For your work at the Rijksvastgoedbedrijf, a security investigation is required. We expect you to cooperate with this.

As we promote sustainability, we travel as much as possible by public transport. Therefore, you will receive a public transport card for commuting and business trips. For locations that are not easily accessible by public transport, company cars are available.

At the Rijksvastgoedbedrijf, we work independently of time, place, and device. You will discuss with the head of the Technical Expertise department how to implement this. Therefore, it may also be the case that you occasionally work at another location or from home.

About Your Future Department

The Real Estate Management Directorate is responsible for managing the buildings, building-related (technical) installations, works, terrains, and grounds of the Rijksvastgoedbedrijf, both during (temporary) use and vacancy. Additionally, the directorate realizes smaller new construction projects resulting from (re)development, transformation, or transactions, where building and client knowledge is explicitly required.

The Technical Expertise department supports those departments that need specific technical expertise. The department houses about 130 driven colleagues in five different sections: Knowledge Management and Construction Costs, Technical Advice Installation Technology, Technical Advice Construction Technology and Outdoor Space, Technical Advice Monuments and Art, and finally Sustainability and Energy. You could say it’s a mixed bag, but nothing could be further from the truth! Together, we safeguard the technical knowledge and expertise needed within the Real Estate Management Directorate. The department serves all primary, governing, and supporting RVB processes within the Real Estate Management Directorate but also across RVB; for example, by contributing to implementation policy or translating practical experience into policy wishes.

Together, the colleagues from Technical Expertise bundle the scarce and specialized technical knowledge that is too 'small' in scale to be distributed among the executing departments and that is not linked to one specific fixed task of one executing department or knowledge domains still in development. Generally, we combine various roles, such as knowledge development and knowledge transfer, but also advisory roles, framework-setting roles, monitoring, and testing. We find it self-evident that safety in technology plays an important role.

In the Technical Advice Construction Technology and Outdoor Space section, the technical disciplines of structural engineering, architecture, fire safety, climate adaptation, and nature-inclusive work are bundled. This ensures strong cohesion between these disciplines, allowing us to focus entirely on knowledge development, dissemination, and safeguarding, but especially on participating in projects. Each team has its own development speed and development task.

What We Offer

• Extra budget and time: You will receive an Individual Choice Budget (IKB): 16.5% of your salary and annually 64 IKB hours based on a 36-hour workweek. • Vacation and Leave: With a 36-hour workweek, you will receive 144 vacation hours annually. Additionally, there are various leave arrangements. For example, you can take paid parental leave with 75% to 100% payment and unpaid parental leave until your child is 8 years old.
• Travel and Working from Home: Your commuting by public transport is fully reimbursed. If you travel by your own vehicle, you may receive a mileage allowance depending on your situation. For working from home, there are allowances and provisions for a good workplace.
• Development: Through the RVB Academy, you can attend training and workshops. You can also discuss with your supervisor which external training, course, or certification suits your development.
• Pension: You build up a pension with ABP, where RVB contributes to your pension premium.
