In this position, you will play a vital role in making our Dutch seed production sustainable for the future. You will work in a complex environment with multiple locations and an extensive network of external production sites, focusing on quality, collaboration, and long-term goals. As the Manager of Vegetable Seed Production, you will be responsible for Rijk Zwaan's seed production in the Netherlands, acting as the point of contact for our own production sites and over 100 rental locations across the country. Daily management is handled by three Station Managers who report directly to you. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
- Managing the Station Managers at the locations De Vlaak and De Vesting (indirectly overseeing 100 permanent staff and 80 temporary staff).
- Developing a future vision and associated plans for both internal and external production locations.
- Evaluating crops and conducting annual producer evaluations together with the Station Managers.
- Ensuring and implementing personnel policies in collaboration with HR and the Station Managers.
- Leading and participating in improvement projects within the organization.
- Coordinating with departments such as Breeding Support, Seed Technology, and Production.
