Mission of the Job

The Local HR Business Partner is responsible for delivering HR services in the Netherlands. This role combines payroll and administration expertise with employee support, compliance management, HR process improvement, and participation in regional HR initiatives. The Local HR BP acts as a trusted partner for employees and managers, ensuring an excellent employee experience while maintaining legal compliance and operational excellence.

Responsabilitites:

HR Operations & Compliance

• Own the complete employee lifecycle administration (hire to retire).
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Ensure compliance with Dutch labour law and local regulations.
• Maintain HR policies and employee documentation.
• Provide support during HR audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Maintain personnel files and HRIS data.
• Follow up on temporary agency workers and local staffing needs.

Payroll & Benefits

• Manage the monthly payroll process with external payroll providers.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll inputs.
• Manage pension, insurances, and employee benefits.
• Monitor payroll-related legislation changes.

Manager & Employee Support

• Advise managers on HR policies and procedures.
• Act as the first point of contact for employees.
• Support absence management and return-to-work processes.
• Assist managers in handling employee relations matters.
• Support local employee engagement activities.

HR Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in international HR projects.
• Drive digitalization and process improvements within HR administration.
• Support HR reporting and analytics.
• Contribute to employee engagement initiatives.

Talent & Organization Support

• Coordinate recruitment administration.
• Assist with performance and talent review cycles.
• Support learning and development activities.

Qualifications:

Hard Skills

• 5+ years of experience in HR Operations, HR BP, HR Generalist, or HR Officer roles.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch payroll processes and legislation.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (SuccessFactors, SAP, etc.).
• Fluency in Dutch and English; French is a strong asset.

Formation

• Bachelor’s level of thinking and working, preferably in Human Resources, Personnel Management, or Business Administration. Relevant experience in Dutch HR administration and payroll may compensate for formal education.
