In the role of Lifting Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Construction Manager and subcontractors, ensuring that logistics and planning are executed flawlessly. Your primary focus will be on managing all logistics planning and field installation details for a large, complex data centre project with stringent technical requirements. You will operate within a PMC structure on the client side, overseeing the project from design to full commissioning and operation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Construction Manager to address logistical challenges and facilitate problem-solving among Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing subcontractors during construction.
• Work closely with the contractor's Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team to coordinate all field activities and trade interactions.
• Develop a thorough understanding of contract documents (drawings and specifications) and create phasing plans, logistics systems interrelationships, and construction sequencing aligned with the project schedule.
• Lead logistics/planning meetings, documenting minutes and logistics plans.
• Produce and maintain detailed logistics plans for the project, regularly updating and distributing them with input from the Construction Manager and subcontractors.
• Interface with the contractor's Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager for all client-provided equipment, ensuring logistics plans are in place for equipment installation.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with relevant quality documentation and logistics plans.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Logistics Manager in large construction projects.
• Experience in building 5+ ground-up data centres or other technically intensive facilities.
• Strong understanding of logistics planning and coordinating subcontractors for hyper data centre projects.
• Proven experience and references from large data centre projects with hyperscale clients.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with the owner’s team, key vendors, and subcontractors.
• Quick decision-making skills for strategic planning are essential for success.
• Degree in engineering or a related field.
• Strong engineering knowledge of plans, engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics related to logistics trades.
• Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication and organizational skills.
