Do you have a passion for sports, especially korfball? Are you skilled at teaching and motivating enthusiastic students? The Sports Centre de Bongerd is looking for you! We are seeking a Korfball Trainer for our student korfball association Débaldérin, starting as soon as possible. As a trainer, you will be responsible for coaching both competitive and recreational players, with the association boasting over 40 members. Training sessions occur on Tuesdays from 19:00–20:30 and Thursdays from 20:00–21:30, with flexibility for alternative times. Débaldérin participates in the Dutch Korfball Association (KNKV) competitions, including both midweek and Saturday leagues. Your main goal will be to enhance players' skills, increase enjoyment, and achieve competitive success. Additionally, you will engage in team meetings, training activities, and social events outside regular hours.

About the Company

The Sports Centre de Bongerd (SCB) at Wageningen University & Research (WUR) oversees the sports program for students and staff, serving 6500 students and 900 employees. With a team of 45 specialized sports teachers, SCB plays an active role in promoting health through the Vital@work program. The centre is located on the campus edge and supports various student sports associations, with English as the primary language of instruction due to the international community.

Requirements

• Active and proactive individual with strong customer focus, teamwork, and coaching skills.
• Korfball Trainer Level 3 certificate or equivalent experience.
• Enthusiastic trainer who can lead and engage with the group, while also participating socially.
• Ability to connect with students and integrate new members into the team.
• Experience in training players of varying skill levels.
• Knowledge of diverse cultural backgrounds and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Experience training adults is preferred.
