Are you interested in working with 1000 farmers in the Netherlands and have a passion for data collection tools? Within the ReGeNL project, we are looking for a junior researcher to assist with monitoring and learning activities.

The Role

In this role, you will support the monitoring and learning of 1000 farmers committed to transitioning their farms to regenerative practices. You will work with the Soil Biology group at Wageningen University to monitor changes in farming practices and their outcomes, ensuring continuous feedback between farmers and researchers. Your focus will be on developing tools for data collection and reporting, leveraging your knowledge of data management and Dutch agriculture. You will collaborate closely with the Data Management team to build the data infrastructure for ReGeNL.

Responsibilities

• Set up surveys and other data collection tools to gather project outcome indicators.
• Create insightful graphs and visual tools to present results to farmers.
• Develop tailored reports for specific groups of farmers involved in supply chains or learning networks.
• Support day-to-day data handling and collection requests.

Requirements

• Experience in designing and evaluating structured surveys.
• Ability to communicate results effectively to farmers and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with digital data collection software.
• Experience with R or similar data processing tools and/or dashboard building in PowerBI is an advantage.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in Dutch, both spoken and written, is required for this role.
