Flow Traders is seeking a Junior Quantitative Researcher to enhance our quantitative trading team in Amsterdam. The Role

As a Junior Quantitative Researcher, you will design, build, optimize, and deploy advanced models and algorithms for systematic trading. You will analyze extensive datasets to discover patterns and signals that can inform trading strategies. Collaboration with traders and technologists is key to transitioning models from research to live production, while you will also monitor and refine existing models based on their performance in live markets.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, optimize, and deploy state-of-the-art models and algorithms for systematic trading.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and signals that can be translated into trading strategies.
• Collaborate with traders and technologists to bring models from research into live production.
• Monitor and refine existing models based on live market performance.

Requirements

• A PhD degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong knowledge of statistics and linear algebra.
• Proficiency in implementing models and algorithms using programming languages such as Python or C++.
• Experience in Deep Learning is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on open-ended, ambiguous problems.
• Ownership and entrepreneurial mindset.
