Join Tiffany & Co. as a Polisher, where you'll refine and repair various jewelry pieces using your expertise in precious metals and specialty materials. This role offers the opportunity to develop deep product knowledge while ensuring the highest quality standards.
The Tiffany & Co. Polisher is responsible for refinishing completed repairs on items such as rings, chains, charms, earrings, and bracelets, using a variety of polishing techniques. The Polisher works with precious metals including platinum, gold, and silver, as well as other specialty materials, ensuring that all work meets Tiffany's high standards.
The Role
You will perform repairs and alterations on all assigned orders according to Tiffany & Co. standards, ensuring quality and productivity. Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing craft work to Tiffany quality and design standards, following written repair instructions, and inspecting orders for defects.
- Maintaining organization of assigned orders and ensuring due dates are met.
- Developing a working knowledge of Tiffany & Co. products and proactively seeking new skills to improve quality and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Perform refinishing using techniques such as gluing, sanding, sand blasting, lapping, and hand polishing.
- Inspect all assigned orders for additional defects and address them appropriately.
- Maintain an organized workspace and manage tools and materials according to procedures.
- Assist with workflow management and participate in special projects as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in metal polishing and refinishing.
- Knowledge of gemstone identification and care steps.
- Strong attention to detail and client service orientation.
- Fluent English skills in reading, writing, and verbal communication.
- Ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Nice to Have
- Degree from a jewelry technical/design program.
- 5-10 years of experience in the field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Tiffany & Co. products.
- Experience with large item polishing and assembly.
