Location: WTC Amsterdam, Tower Ten Team: Separate Accounts, CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM) Duration and hours: 3 months (November – January), full-time (40 hours per week)
The Separate Accounts team builds and manages real estate portfolios for individual institutional clients. As an investment intern, you will collaborate with analysts and senior team members on portfolio construction, market research, underwriting potential acquisitions, and asset management initiatives. You will witness how investment decisions are made, from the initial acquisition review to quarterly client conversations.
Responsibilities
- Assist analysts and senior Portfolio Managers in their daily tasks, including:
- Supporting portfolio construction, market research, and underwriting of potential investment opportunities.
- Monitoring ongoing asset performance and preparing client reports, including quarterly presentations.
- Reviewing acquisition and disposal processes, learning to analyze forecast returns and risks of investments, and identifying issues that could impact portfolios.
- Managing client investment data in the client investment plan and databases.
- Tracking client and investment performance data, supporting analysts with portfolio forecasting models, and evaluating asset business plans.
- Responding to client and internal information requests.
- Contributing to sustainability strategies, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics, and assisting with their implementation.
