The research will provide insights into the current and future morphological dynamics of riverbanks in the river area and actionable perspectives for floodplain projects regarding these dynamics.

As an intern, you will be part of our Flood Protection & Area Development team, consisting of around 65 colleagues across three offices. You will also have easy access to colleagues and experts from other departments, such as ecologists, landscape architects, and geotechnicians. We regularly organize various social activities as a team, and participation is voluntary.

We often work together as a team in our beautiful offices in Amersfoort, Nijmegen, or Delft. Our offices feature spacious, open workspaces with views of the adjacent forest or the entire city. They are easily accessible; from the Central Station, you can take the shuttle bus or OV bike and arrive quickly. If you drive, our offices are also conveniently reachable.

You are an enthusiastic student, preferably with a background in civil engineering, water management, earth sciences, hydraulics, ecology, or a related field; affinity with and knowledge of both the hydraulic and ecological aspects of rivers is a plus. You are a quick thinker with creativity, communication, and analytical skills, and you can work well independently. Skills in programs like ArcGIS or QGIS. You speak Dutch. You are available from early 2027, with a start around February.
