As Interim Manager Crop Production at Enza Zaden, you will oversee global seed production and play a crucial role in ensuring sustainable agricultural practices. Your leadership will be essential in achieving reliable and efficient seed production for our Open Field crops, specifically allium and carrot. By connecting people, processes, and strategy, you will drive operational excellence and foster innovation to support our global vegetable breeding programs.

The Role

In this position, you will be responsible for managing global seed production, ensuring alignment with Enza Zaden’s strategic objectives. You will blend leadership with operational focus to maintain performance across quality, quantity, cost, and timing. Collaborating closely with your team and cross-functional stakeholders, you will promote continuous improvement throughout the production chain.

Responsibilities

Manage, coach, and develop a team of Production Specialists and Production Planners.
Ensure global seed production performance meets quality, quantity, cost, and timing targets.
Lead and contribute to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and tactical production capacity management.
Participate in cross-functional crop teams to develop and execute strategic crop plans.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, R&D, Portfolio Management, and Marketing to support variety development and producibility.
Develop business cases and lead projects aimed at improving processes, seed technology, and cost efficiency.
Ensure compliance with phytosanitary regulations.
Align with external producers and partners.
