In this role, you will not only focus on treatment but also contribute to the development of a new clinical facility for addiction care in Nijmegen, set to open in early 2027. As a GZ-psychologist, you will have the opportunity to shape the treatment culture and care content at this new location. Until the opening, you will work from the current clinic in Zevenaar to familiarize yourself with the target group and operational methods.

You will treat adults with addiction disorders, often accompanied by psychiatric and social issues. As the lead therapist, you will oversee the content of the treatment trajectory, develop treatment policies, evaluate them with clients and the team, and make adjustments as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct CGT, EMDR, individual therapy, and group therapy.
• Perform diagnostics.
• Work systemically and involve relatives in the recovery process where possible.
• Discuss treatment trajectories within the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to the development and quality of treatments.
• Supervise interns and PIOGs.

If you have a particular interest in trauma treatment, recovery-oriented care, research, innovation, or even AI applications within mental health care, there is room to contribute in these areas within the assignment.

About the Company:

You will work within a specialized organization for addiction treatment. The clinic treats adults whose addictions are often linked with psychiatric and social issues. The treatment is temporary, recovery-oriented, and aims to enhance personal agency.

In early 2027, two existing clinics will merge into a new facility on the outskirts of Nijmegen. The green surroundings provide tranquility, while healthcare institutions, training institutes, and knowledge partners are nearby. The clinic will serve a broader regional function.

You will work in a multidisciplinary setting and maintain regular contact with other GZ-psychologists, combining independent lead therapist responsibilities with substantive discussions and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• You are comfortable with complex addiction and psychiatric issues, able to combine warmth and involvement with clear boundaries when necessary.
• You are BIG registered as a GZ-psychologist.
• You possess an AGB code.
• You have experience with (A)CRA, CGT, and trauma treatment or are willing to further develop in this area.
• You can work systemically and recovery-oriented.
• You have an eye for innovation and quality improvement.
• You possess sufficient resilience, reflective ability, and professional sensitivity.

What We Offer:

• You will work 24 to 32 hours per week on a self-employed basis. Work will take place during the day. The exact working days and extent of your involvement will be agreed upon with the client.
• You will discuss your hourly rate with the client. The duration of the assignment and other agreements regarding your involvement will also be clearly established in advance.
