We are looking for an Injection Moulding Specialist to join our Technology & Innovation team in the Netherlands. As the Injection Moulding Specialist, you will work at the forefront of building a sustainable future. Your polymer processing knowledge will be crucial in driving our innovations and business growth. You will embark on an exciting journey to develop solutions that make our cities and buildings more climate-proof, contributing to a circular economy. Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing innovative solutions for customer challenges based on extensive polymer processing knowledge and a solid understanding of business needs. You will report hierarchically to the Technology Manager of Wavin T&I.

Your Wide-Ranging Role

• Provide plastics injection moulding expertise, in-depth plastics processing know-how, and scientific processing principles to support product innovation projects.
• Support the entire process from machine and mould specifications to part production at manufacturing locations.
• Perform computer simulations and interpret results to improve product and mould designs.
• Liaise with machine suppliers and mould makers to identify new areas for business growth through advanced injection moulding techniques.
• Develop and utilize insights on trends in relevant injection moulding and mould technologies, proposing new projects or directions.
• Lead injection moulding technology-related development projects.
• Work independently and/or collaboratively on projects to meet business goals.

Your Expert Profile

• A Bachelor’s or University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Polymer Engineering, focusing on polymer processing.
• Proven track record in injection moulding expertise and innovative plastic processing solutions.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in executing and managing injection moulding-related projects, including team and project management.
• High level of independence, strong team-building skills, and high self-motivation.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities, including troubleshooting.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally (~10-20%).
• Fluent verbal and written skills in English; good proficiency in German is a plus.
