We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to contribute to the management and development of IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solutions. This role involves supporting service and project management throughout the entire lifecycle of IaaS services.

The Role

As an IaaS Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of NISC IaaS Services, supporting senior technicians and engineers, and managing virtual infrastructure. You will also perform system administration and monitor data center hardware.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operation and maintenance of NISC IaaS Services.
• Support senior technicians and engineers in design, engineering, implementation, operation, and integration of Infrastructure Hosting Services.
• Administer and maintain virtual infrastructure.
• Perform system administration for assigned systems.
• Support installation and management of common user services over NATO networks.
• Monitor and conduct daily checks of data center hardware and equipment.
• Replace failing components promptly.
• Ensure compliance with physical security measures for IaaS data centers.
• Follow change management processes and update network topology diagrams.
• Troubleshoot data center issues and assist in timely resolutions.
• Maintain records of work operations and events.
• Advise and support IaaS SAO and SDMs on lifecycle aspects of capabilities and services.
• Monitor compliance with SLAs and contribute to process development for IaaS services.
• Perform other duties as required, including scheduled maintenance and on-call support.

Requirements

• Active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET security clearance.
• MSc in a related field with 5 years of relevant experience, or BSc with 7 years of experience.
• Practical experience in DataCenter technologies, operations, and standards.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere 7 and above, and data center management.
• Knowledge of VCF software and SAN/NAS network fundamentals.
• Experience in installing and maintaining data center equipment.
• Proficient in documenting designs and developing Standard Operating Procedures.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux RedHat, and IT Asset management.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in virtualization (e.g., VCP), CompTIA ServerPlus, CompTIA Network, or CCNA.
• DataCenter certification and experience in service provisioning organizations.
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization.
