Location: This is a hybrid role, allowing for remote work and time in our Haarlem office. Contract Type: Fixed term for 6-8 months, part-time (30 hours or more). As HR Manager, you will be essential in bridging our commercial business with the broader HR function, serving as a trusted partner to both leaders and employees. You will oversee the full range of HR activities, from developing strategic people initiatives to translating business needs into effective HR solutions, while prioritizing tactical and operational HR matters.

The Role

You will collaborate closely with the local leadership team, the EMEA People team, and key stakeholders to define and execute the local people strategy, driving business growth and evolving the HR function. Additionally, you'll work with external partners to manage payroll, pensions, and benefits, utilizing our global HR systems and processes to enhance the employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to implement the EMEA and local People strategy.
• Coach and support managers throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on people-related issues.
• Facilitate talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Ensure alignment and compliance of People policies, processes, and practices, while driving continuous improvement.
• Enhance organizational effectiveness and support organizational design initiatives.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruitment, onboarding, and hiring process enhancements.
• Use people data and insights to inform decision-making and identify opportunities.
• Assist with local payroll, benefits administration, and collective agreement implementation.
• Contribute to M&A activities from a people and change management perspective.
• Stay informed on employment legislation and HR best practices through ongoing development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or similar role.
• Experience in partnering with and coaching managers at all levels.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Dutch employment law and its practical application.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience in using people data to support decision-making and drive improvements.
• Experience in a matrix organization is a plus.
• A Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of Belgian employment law and HR practices is advantageous.
