WestPoint Search is assisting an international organization in appointing a Lead HR Buyer to take charge of its HR procurement category during a period of procurement transformation. Workforce suppliers are crucial for the organization to access the necessary people, skills, and services. This includes temporary labor, recruitment agencies, managed service providers, and contract workers. The organization is focused on strengthening partnerships that support its workforce needs and deliver long-term commercial value.

As an experienced HR procurement professional, you will become a trusted commercial partner to HR leadership and stakeholders across the business. Your role will extend beyond merely managing contracts or responding to hiring requirements. You will lead strategic sourcing activities, shape category strategies, negotiate commercial agreements, and influence how the business selects, manages, and optimizes its HR suppliers. You will collaborate closely with HR, business leaders, and external partners, applying commercial discipline and strategic thinking to a diverse portfolio, including company car procurement.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement category strategies for temporary labor, recruitment agencies, managed service providers, and related HR services.
Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier selections, and commercial negotiations.
Collaborate with HR stakeholders and business units to translate workforce needs into effective sourcing and supplier strategies.
Negotiate contracts and service level agreements that balance cost, service quality, and business requirements.
Build and maintain supplier relationships across multiple regions, ensuring suppliers meet agreed commitments.
Drive value through cost optimization, improved commercial terms, and more effective procurement processes.
Monitor supplier performance, address service issues, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Stay informed about labor market developments and ensure staffing agreements comply with relevant legal requirements.
Contribute to the professionalization of the procurement function as a trusted partner to the business.

Requirements:

Minimum of eight years’ experience in procurement category management, with a strong understanding of HR services.
Proven track record of developing sourcing strategies and leading commercial negotiations.
Experience with temporary labor, managed service providers, and company car procurement.
Strong communication skills to build credibility with HR and business stakeholders.
Excellent commercial judgment, with evidence of delivering value through supplier relationships and cost improvements.
Strategic thinker with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience in an established procurement function, with knowledge of effective category management and supplier governance.
Ability to manage suppliers across multiple regions and willingness to visit sites in the Netherlands and Belgium.
