Company Description moveNmeet is dedicated to enhancing the mental well-being of parents with young children by fostering community and promoting physical activity. We offer parent-and-kids workout classes in Amsterdam Zuid for children up to 4 years old, creating an inclusive atmosphere. By encouraging regular exercise, moveNmeet aims to bridge the fitness gap between genders while building social connections among parents. Our initiative collaborates with local partners like Gemeente Amsterdam, Broedplaats SUP, and Sooz Amsterdam, emphasizing our commitment to community engagement.

The Role: The host position at moveNmeet is an on-site role in Amsterdam Zuid, requiring 2 hours of work each Wednesday morning, with potential for additional hours. The host will greet parents and children attending the classes, ensuring a friendly and safe environment while providing clear information about our activities and facilities. Responsibilities include:

• Welcoming participants and managing check-ins.
• Monitoring children during classes.
• Setting up drinks and snacks for kids and cleaning the space afterward.
• Addressing participant questions and gathering feedback.
• Promoting upcoming sessions and events.
• Assisting with registration processes and occasional administrative tasks to maintain smooth operations.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse parents and children, providing clear information and fostering community.
• Customer service experience to create a welcoming atmosphere, manage inquiries, and resolve concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Sales skills and experience in food and beverage are a plus.
• Ability to work on-site.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability in managing schedules, registrations, and venue preparation.
• Interest in mental health, movement, and community-building; experience with families or children is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English and/or Dutch is required.
