We are seeking a business-minded legal professional to join Trinsic as an integral part of our leadership team. Operating in a highly-regulated industry, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the legal aspects of our product and go-to-market strategy.
About the Company
Trinsic is revolutionizing online identity verification in an era where trust is eroding. We have created the first Identity Acceptance Network, enabling customers to accept digital IDs quickly and securely, covering over 1,500 million people across 50+ countries.
The Role
As the sole legal department member, you will work closely with the CEO and collaborate with various teams including Sales, Product, Security, and Operations. You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining a legal infrastructure that supports our growth and ensures compliance with international regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive legal infrastructure and compliance strategy.
- Lead negotiations for customer Master Service Agreements and partner agreements.
- Draft and manage Trinsic's template agreements and compliance documentation.
- Oversee data privacy and GDPR compliance, as well as SOC2 and ISO27001 readiness.
- Establish risk management processes for tracking subprocessors and vendor diligence.
- Support corporate governance requirements, including board meetings and fundraising events.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of legal practice experience, with a focus on commercial contracts and data protection.
- In-house counsel experience is a must.
- Strong command of the English language, particularly in written communication.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with venture-backed startups is a plus.
