In the Netherlands, P3 is expanding through acquisitions, developments, and strategic partnerships in various sectors including e-commerce and retail. Solid Executives is conducting an exclusive search for a Head of Finance to lead the finance function in the Netherlands and collaborate with the local leadership team.

The Role

As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for all financial matters in the country and serve as a business partner to the Country Director and the leadership team. Your key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing all financial operations, including payments, cash management, and outsourced accounting services.
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial records, reporting, and compliance with statutory regulations.
• Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, along with local banking relationships.
• Preparing and reviewing management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) while leading budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Providing financial analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Supporting various teams with business cases and investment appraisals.
• Reviewing development appraisals and significant commercial contracts from a financial perspective.
• Coordinating local tax compliance and supporting Group Tax on transfer pricing and tax projects.
• Assisting with acquisitions, disposals, and corporate restructurings in collaboration with Group Finance, Tax, and Legal.
• Managing relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and professional service providers.
• Leading finance process improvement and digitalization initiatives, including ERP projects.
• Conducting financial due diligence on acquisitions and disposals, and coordinating post-deal financial integration.
• Building and developing a local finance team (3 to 4 FTE) with a focus on long-term development.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Head of Finance or senior finance leadership role, ideally within real estate.
• A university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and develop a team and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent relationship-building skills within the finance team and across the organization.
• A strategic mindset with experience in change management and operational efficiency.
• Collaborative working style with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Affinity for technology and finance tools, with a digital mindset.
• Continuous improvement mentality and proactive approach to process optimization.
• Creative and solution-oriented thinker, willing to challenge the status quo.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is strongly preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Yardi, Power Query, and Tableau.
• Experience supporting real estate transactions (M&A).
• Familiarity with ChatGPT and Claude.
