PCBO Rotterdam-Zuid has been making a meaningful contribution to the personal development of children for over 125 years. We provide development-oriented education and broad formation to 7,400 preschoolers and students. With a Christian-inspired tradition, our 875 dedicated staff members teach at 11 preschools, 3 childcare centers, 21 primary schools, and 4 special education schools, with 29 located in the Zuid area and one in Ommoord.

As a Gym Teacher at Basisschool De Wissel, located at the Kop van Zuid, you will engage with a diverse audience. Our education is intentionally aligned with this diversity. De Wissel is a primary school governed by Interconfessioneel Basisonderwijs (ICBO), a collaboration between the Rotterdam school boards PCBO & RVKO. The school has 355 students spread over 18 groups.

We are looking for a: Gym Teacher

3-5 days a week, including Wednesday Start date from 01-08-2026 or earlier (if you graduate before the summer vacation)

Jij Hebt

• (H)ALO diploma or PABO diploma with gym qualification;
• Preferably experience in teaching gym classes;
• A strong affinity with children;
• Good didactic and pedagogical skills, including differentiation within groups and creating a safe learning and movement environment;
• Motivation to further develop and promote the policy together with an experienced gym teacher.

Jij Bent

• Friendly and clear towards students;
• A supportive and engaged colleague;
• Someone who wants to contribute to a healthy school environment for children in Zuid.

Jij Wilt

• Ensure students enjoy moving;
• Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents;
• Work at a school with a strong pedagogical climate;
