We are seeking a friendly and passionate Guest Services Officer dedicated to ensuring guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will excel in communication and problem-solving while providing outstanding hospitality.
As a Guest Services Officer, you will actively listen to guests and assist in resolving their issues and concerns. A strong disposition for guest satisfaction is essential, along with a great sense of humor. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and making effective decisions to enhance the guest experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in a customer-facing role within the hotel industry or a related field.
- At least one year of cash handling experience, with a solid understanding of US currency and exchange rates.
- Proven customer service skills to interact with guests in a considerate, professional, and positive manner.
- Ability to communicate tactfully with guests, department heads, and shipboard employees to resolve issues and negotiate solutions.
- Proficiency in operating basic office equipment, including telephones, computers, and copy machines.
- Completion of high school or equivalent education is preferred.
- Willingness to work onboard for 5-6 months.
Language Requirements
- Clear and distinct English speaking skills are required.
- Aptitude to read and write in English to understand and interpret written procedures, including the ability to give and receive instructions effectively.
- Proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish is essential.
