In this role, you will ensure that the right groups and meeting requests are successfully converted and accommodated at citizenM hotels. As a Groups & Meetings Specialist, you will be responsible for managing sales, organizing group and meeting business, and achieving target revenues. You will collaborate closely with fellow specialists and coordinators, as well as the sales and demand managers in the commercial team, to optimize operations and enhance performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept and convert suitable group requests, making informed decisions.
• Serve as the primary contact for group and meeting bookers from Marriott sales, companies, travel agents, and conference centers across all locations.
• Manage group blocks and meeting room bookings utilizing available tools.
• Prepare group quotes and send offers in accordance with service level agreements (SLA).
• Collaborate with the sales & demand team and utilize the revenue tool OneYield for pricing strategies.
• Proactively seek repeat clientele and foster relationships.
• Handle account management and enhance production.
• Participate in projects and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications / Skills

• Experience in group and/or meeting business.
• Customer-focused with strong negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proactive attitude and initiative.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, and either Dutch or another second language.

Location/Hours

This position is based at the Support Office in Leiden. Hybrid working is possible, with 2 or 3 days in the office per week. This is a full-time role with PM shift hours from 14:00 to 22:00.
