Your journey with IMC as a Graduate Quantitative Researcher begins with a six-week Global Trainee Programme, guided by our experienced engineers and traders along with fellow graduates from Europe, the United States, and Asia-Pacific. This traineeship will deepen your understanding of trading, financial markets, IMC’s trading strategies, and our proprietary trading systems. After the programme, you will return to your local office, where a dedicated mentor, an experienced quant researcher at IMC, will support you. You will then join a team of quantitative researchers, playing a crucial role in exploring and shaping strategies in global markets, with recognition for your ideas and successes at every step.

Core Responsibilities

Collaborate with traders to assess existing models and propose enhancements.
Develop customized analysis tools to investigate new research concepts.
Utilize rigorous quantitative techniques to address complex challenges.
Create mathematical models based on innovative trading ideas and implement them into production.

Skills and Experience

You are in your final year of a Master’s or PhD in mathematics, physics, astrophysics, or a related quantitative field, aiming to join IMC full-time in February or August 2027.
Proficient in a programming language (e.g., Python, Matlab, or C++).
Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Have a genuine interest in financial markets (prior knowledge or experience is not required).

Due to current U.S. immigration and visa restrictions, some candidates may not qualify for the U.S. business visa required for our Global Traineeship Programme.
