Our Regulatory Services’ GQA team is looking for a GQA AI Regulatory & Certification Lead who provides regulatory and accreditation leadership to the BSI Artificial Intelligence certification body, notified body, and quality management teams globally.

Responsibilities

• Manage AI notified body and AI certification body schemes globally within ISO17021/ISO17065/ISO17025 and other applicable accreditation and legislation requirements (e.g., EU AI Act, Medical Devices Regulation).
• Lead the development and maintenance of Conformity Assessment Activity to allow providers and manufacturers to demonstrate that their technology and processes conform to the provisions of EU AI Regulations, applicable standards, and global regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that BSI has the relevant policies, procedures, and documentation in place to meet all latest AI regulatory obligations.
• Ensure that NB, AI Services, and AIMS personnel work is consistently at the required high level of expertise and rigor.
• Provide policy input and expertise on AI technical and AI management systems assessment and develop related certification schemes.
• Represent BSI in relevant AI events, forums, stakeholder engagement, and working groups on AI.

Requirements

• BSc degree or higher in a discipline relevant to Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Information Technology, Quality Assurance, or equivalent.
• At least four years' post-graduate experience in one of the following areas: conformity assessment, quality management, software development, quality policy/regulation, standardization development, with at least 1 year related to AI.
• Experience in AI Lifecycle and Quality aspects, and Regulatory aspects of AI products.
• Good interpersonal skills, particularly communication and influencing skills.

In the Netherlands, the salary for this position can range from €81,600 to €102,000 annually. This is a remote position that can be based in Europe or the US. As compensation varies by country and local market conditions, salary details will be discussed with candidates prior to the interview stage. Actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget, and internal peer compensation comparisons.
