Our Regulatory Services’ GQA team is looking for a GQA AI Regulatory & Certification Lead who will provide regulatory and accreditation leadership to the BSI Artificial Intelligence certification body, notified body, and quality management teams globally.

About The Role

This position is a one-year fixed-term contract, home-based with some travel required, covering Europe, the UK, and the US. The application closing date is 16th October 2026.

Responsibilities

• Manage AI notified body and AI certification body schemes globally within ISO17021/ISO17065/ISO17025 and other applicable accreditation and legislation requirements (e.g., EU AI Act, Medical Devices Regulation).
• Lead the development and maintenance of Conformity Assessment Activity to enable providers and manufacturers to demonstrate compliance with EU AI Regulations, applicable standards, and global regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that BSI has the necessary policies, procedures, and documentation to meet all current AI regulatory obligations.
• Ensure that NB, AI Services, and AIMS personnel consistently maintain a high level of expertise and rigor.
• Provide policy input and expertise on AI technical and AI management systems assessment and develop related certification schemes.
• Represent BSI at relevant AI events, forums, stakeholder engagements, and working groups.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A BSc degree or higher in a discipline relevant to Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Information Technology, Quality Assurance, or equivalent.
• At least four years of post-graduate experience in areas such as conformity assessment, quality management, software development, quality policy/regulation, or standardization development, with at least one year related to AI.
• Experience in AI lifecycle and quality aspects, as well as regulatory aspects of AI products.
• Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in communication and influencing.

In the Netherlands, the salary for this position can range from €81,600 to €102,000 annually. This is a remote position that can be based in Europe or the US.
