This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is seeking a Global Contracting Manager located in the Netherlands. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping supplier partnerships that create memorable experiences across Scandinavia, the Balkans, and Central Europe. You will lead negotiations and develop contracting strategies for hotels, transportation, restaurants, attractions, guides, and other tour components. Your contributions will significantly impact product quality, operational readiness, financial performance, and competitive positioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract negotiations for all tour components, including hotels, transportation providers, restaurants, attractions, guides, and other suppliers.
• Develop and implement strategic vendor negotiation approaches to meet commercial, operational, and quality objectives.
• Secure agreements that adhere to organizational terms, conditions, quality standards, and product expectations.
• Establish, maintain, and enhance long-term relationships with contracted vendors and destination partners.
• Address supplier-related challenges, including additional dates, custom requests, inventory needs, and operational requirements.
• Ensure the necessary inventory is secured to support tour delivery, operational planning, and business growth.
• Guarantee that supplier partnerships consistently contribute to high-quality tour experiences and product excellence.
• Achieve contracting objectives that align with financial plans, profitability, and competitive market positioning.
• Provide contracting expertise and solutions to teams across the organization in case of supplier or agreement-related challenges.
• Conduct market, destination, and supplier research, preparing effectively for in-destination contracting meetings.
• Collaborate with Product Management to review quality results and identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align contracting strategies with broader product, operational, and commercial goals.
• Explore and utilize AI and emerging technologies to enhance contracting processes and operational efficiency.
• Adapt responsibilities and priorities as business needs change.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in contract negotiation, preferably in travel, tourism, hospitality, procurement, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, capable of developing mutually beneficial commercial partnerships.
• Proven ability to create and execute strategic contracting plans aligned with business objectives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to resolving supplier and operational challenges.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence in engaging both external partners and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, negotiations, and supplier relationships in a dynamic international environment.
• Strong collaboration skills and effectiveness in cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of international destinations, travel products, and supplier ecosystems is highly valued.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance financial objectives with quality and customer experience requirements.
• Curiosity and a continuous-learning mindset, including an interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with global colleagues.
