SOCOTEC Geotechnics is an engineering firm specializing in geo- and environmental technology. We conduct investigations for a wide range of constructions, including building foundations, wind turbines, excavation sites, infrastructure, water barriers, and dewatering. Our capabilities allow us to undertake large and complex projects, supported by our own geotechnical laboratory. We also specialize in (complex) geomonitoring. Currently, SOCOTEC Geotechnics employs around 100 professionals across locations in Son (Eindhoven), Waddinxveen, and Hoofddorp.

The Role

As a Geohydrology Advisor, you will prepare recommendations for projects of varying nature and scope. You will engage with clients and collaborate with fellow advisors, field staff, laboratory teams, and the geo-monitoring department. You will ensure quality control of advice, manage work planning, and oversee budget availability. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to the further development of the geohydrology department, identifying opportunities and possibilities as they arise.

Requirements

• HBO/WO work and thinking level with a hydrological background (earth sciences, hydrology, physical geography, civil engineering)
• Preferably several years of relevant work experience
• Sufficient foundational knowledge of groundwater models
• Eagerness to learn and a drive for personal development
• A flexible, hands-on mentality and innovative skills
• Independence as well as the ability to collaborate
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Professional-level communication skills
