The Erasmus MC Genomics Core Facility (CoFa) offers a wide array of genomics services to an international clientele in both research and diagnostic contexts. We are looking for a dedicated Genomics Specialist to enhance our research and development efforts and provide scientific user support.
The Role
As a Genomics Specialist, you will serve as the scientific expert and advisor for genomics projects within our facility. Your role includes supporting researchers in designing and executing genomics studies, implementing new technologies and workflows, and maintaining the highest standards of scientific quality.
Responsibilities
- Advise researchers on experimental design and selection of genomics services.
- Evaluate, implement, and validate new genomics technologies and protocols.
- Optimize workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and uphold quality standards.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for researchers.
- Collaborate closely with operational and scientific teams throughout the facility.
