About The Role

Productions is ElevenLabs' managed services division for creators and media businesses. We combine AI audio tools with expert human oversight to deliver high-quality dubs, audiobooks, and more in over 15 languages. Our clientele includes global media broadcasters, publishers, gaming companies, and major film studios.

We are seeking engineers to develop the systems that facilitate collaboration between AI and human expertise, ensuring the quality our clients expect. You will take ownership in one of the following areas:

• Human data platform: Develop the labeling and evaluation platform for continuous model improvement, creating new task editors and ensuring data pipeline quality.
• Core productions engine: Build and maintain backend services that support our production workflows, with opportunities to lead projects.
• Editor platform: Develop professional editing tools using Rust, integrating UI systems with a deep understanding of the underlying architecture.

This role focuses on building professional tools and core infrastructure rather than consumer features, requiring self-direction and ownership of results.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience, preferably in functional programming languages like Rust, with a full-stack focus on UI system design.
• Proven track record in developing reliable and scalable systems, such as internal platforms or data pipelines.
• Ability to switch between tool development and platform hardening, with a readiness to lead projects.
• Strong opinions backed by reasoning, while also being willing to engage in less glamorous tasks.

Bonus

• Experience in building professional tools with a focus on UI, understanding the systems that support them.
• Familiarity with data labeling or annotation platforms and managing crowdsourced workflows.

Location

This role is remote-first, allowing work from anywhere in Europe or the US East Coast, with a preference for GMT-5 to GMT+1 time zones. Alternatively, you can work from our offices located in London, New York, Dublin, Amsterdam, and Warsaw.
