The Role

As a Full Stack Engineer at Prolena, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end features for our mentorship platform. Your work will involve developing and optimizing both front-end interfaces and back-end services to ensure a seamless and secure experience for mentors and mentees. Daily tasks will include implementing responsive user interfaces, building and integrating APIs, managing data models, and collaborating with product and design teams to refine requirements. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, enhance performance, resolve technical issues, and contribute to architectural decisions. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Amsterdam.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Full-Stack Development and Software Development, with experience delivering production-ready web applications.
• Solid skills in Front-End Development, including modern JavaScript frameworks and CSS for responsive, accessible interfaces.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks to build scalable services.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team, communicate clearly, and translate product requirements into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), testing practices, and CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of security best practices, performance optimization, and monitoring for web applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in mentorship, education, or platforms that connect global talent is a plus.
