THE HOXTON, LLOYD is hiring through Hosco in Amsterdam. We are seeking an enthusiastic Front Office Intern to join our team at The Hoxton, Lloyd Amsterdam. Reporting to our Front Office Manager, you will provide friendly, helpful, and responsive service to our guests, ensuring they feel valued and eager to return. In 2023, we opened our second Hoxton in Amsterdam, located in the Eastern Docklands, where we have transformed the historic former Lloyd Hotel into a beautiful property featuring 136 bedrooms, a large restaurant, an outdoor terrace, a new bar, and a unique meetings and events concept called The Apartment.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
• Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate billing.
• Collaborate with all teams to maintain a busy hotel environment and assist the Front Office Manager with bookings.
• Handle phone inquiries, fulfill requests, and provide recommendations for local attractions and dining.
• Act as the hotel's gatekeeper, maintaining knowledge of guests and hotel operations.
• Perform some administrative tasks, including managing expenses and orders.

Requirements

• A positive attitude and eagerness to help others.
• Previous hotel experience is a plus but not essential; we are willing to train.
• A passion for hospitality in all its forms.
• A desire to create memorable experiences for guests.
• A collaborative spirit, ready to support the team.
• Willingness to embrace new ideas and approaches.
• Availability for at least 6 months.
