Our partner is seeking Freelance Machine Translation Post-Editors for German, specifically within the iGaming and poker sectors, located in the Netherlands. In this fully remote freelance role, you will refine AI-generated translations into accurate, natural, and engaging content for online gaming platforms. You will leverage your linguistic expertise and understanding of gaming terminology and localization best practices to review English-to-German machine translations, correct errors, maintain the intended tone, and ensure consistency with established terminology and brand guidelines. Your contributions will enhance the clarity and cultural appropriateness of marketing, promotional, and in-product materials. This opportunity is ideal for experienced German linguists who enjoy improving AI-generated content while balancing precision, readability, and localization quality.

Verantwoordelijkheden:

Refine machine-translated content to ensure high standards of linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and consistency across iGaming and poker contexts.
Perform machine translation post-editing (MTPE) on AI-generated translations from English into German.
Critically review translated content to ensure it accurately reflects the meaning, tone, intent, and context of the English source.
Identify and correct mistranslations, omissions, additions, grammatical errors, inconsistent terminology, and unnatural phrasing.
Translate short content segments when necessary to deliver natural, player-friendly German.
Apply appropriate terminology and localization standards across marketing, promotional, and in-product content.
Handle basic HTML and Phrase TMS tags carefully to preserve formatting and technical integrity.
Implement localization quality assurance (LQA) practices and SEO-aware principles where relevant.
Identify errors in source texts and flag or correct obvious issues instead of reproducing them in the translation.
Clearly explain translation decisions when dealing with challenging linguistic or contextual choices.

Vereisten:

Native German proficiency with excellent comprehension of English.
Proven experience in professional translation and machine translation post-editing (MTPE).
Strong preference for candidates with experience in iGaming or poker content.
Excellent linguistic judgment with the ability to identify inaccuracies, omissions, additions, terminology issues, and unnatural phrasing in AI-generated translations.
Strong knowledge of localization workflows, including localization quality assurance (LQA), translation memories (TMs), and termbases.
Experience translating or editing marketing, promotional, or in-product content.
Familiarity with basic HTML and Phrase TMS tags.
Exceptional attention to detail, especially with formatted text and terminology.
Ability to identify source-text errors and make sound editorial decisions.
Willingness to complete a short assessment covering tag handling, AI-generated content correction, and translation rationale.
