This role involves comparing the machine-generated output with the source text, making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy, fluency, and adherence to specific style or terminology requirements. The final product should be not only understandable but also stylistically appropriate, reflecting a full post-edit quality that flows well and is idiomatic.

Requirements

• Full professional proficiency in English (IRL Level 4) as the source language.
• Native-level proficiency in Czech (IRL Level 5) as the target language.
• Excellent knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation, with ongoing engagement with the language.
• Cultural sensitivity and a deep understanding of terminological and cultural nuances.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in translating and reviewing content as a post-editor.
• Familiarity with various dialects and accents from around the world.
• Advanced knowledge of one or more CAT tools.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to use macros.
• A positive attitude towards machine translation.
• Ability to provide structured feedback to improve the machine translation engine.
• Knowledge of cinema and the film industry is a plus.
