Internship - Food Regulatory & Compliance (6 months)

Location: Singapore, Biopolis Function: Innovation, Quality and Food Safety Work arrangement: 5 days working in office

You will report to the Regional Head of Regulatory Compliance and assist with the following tasks and projects:

Responsibilities

• Stay ahead of global trends by tracking and analyzing key regulatory developments across the region and globally, translating them into insights for the business. Create engaging Global Regulatory Newsletters to keep teams informed.
• Understand global market requirements by collaborating with the Quality & Food Safety and Innovation teams to map out regulatory requirements across different markets, gaining insights into how government regulations shape product development and supply chain strategies.
• Support compliant product launches by conducting regulatory checks for new products, reviewing formulations, labeling, standards of identity, and testing parameters to ensure compliance with market requirements before launch.
• Build impactful tools by maintaining a global regulatory database within our Document Management System, facilitating efficient access to critical information for teams.
• Shape the way we work by researching and co-creating regulatory training materials, SOPs, and practical tools that drive consistency and enhance regulatory compliance and risk assessment processes across the organization.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in food science and technology, Food Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior internship or working experience in the food industry is preferred.
• Strong interest in international food regulations and policies.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to a 6-month internship without visa sponsorship.
• Immediate availability is a strong advantage.
