As the Finance Operations Lead, you will play a crucial role in further professionalizing our finance organization. You will be responsible for the operational financial processes, ensuring that transactions are processed correctly, completely, and timely, thereby laying the foundation for reliable and efficient financial closing.

You will lead the Finance Operations team and collaborate closely with Controlling and the CFO. You will not only focus on immediate needs but also on how processes can be designed smarter, faster, and more scalable for the future. You will actively contribute to improving systems, automation, and workflows, preparing Finance for further international growth.

Finance Operations

• Responsible for the order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes.
• Ensure efficient processing of sales, purchase, and payment flows.
• Ensure timely and correct processing of transactions across different countries and sales channels.
• Responsible for the quality of sub-administrations and operational reconciliations.
• Optimize cash conversion and working capital processes.
• Monitor the quality and reliability of operational financial data.

Accounting & Financial Control

• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Ensure the quality of balance and income statement items.
• Responsible for balance files and accounting compliance.
• Support during audits and annual financial statement processes.
• Monitor internal controls and financial reliability.

Procesverbetering & Automatisering

• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Identify automation opportunities within Finance.
• Optimize financial processes and workflows.
• Implement and monitor AI solutions within transactional finance processes.
• Contribute to a faster, more efficient, and scalable closing.

Leiderschap

• Lead the Finance Operations team.
• Develop employees and increase ownership within the team.
• Encourage continuous improvement and process thinking.
• Act as a subject matter expert for operational finance issues.

Wat Jij Meebrengt

• HBO or WO work and thinking level.
• At least 5 years of experience in Finance Operations, Accounting, or Financial Control.
• Experience in a senior, coordinating, or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of operational financial processes and experience with monthly and annual closings.
• Excellent analytical skills, strong process insight, and experience with ERP systems and Excel.

Experience in retail, e-commerce, or an international, multi-entity environment is a strong plus, as is experience with PSPs (such as Adyen), marketplaces, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
