As a Field Service Technician, you will independently ensure the smooth operation of technical systems at opticians throughout the Netherlands. This role combines technical expertise with customer interaction, making it ideal for a junior technician eager to advance quickly.

In this position, you will work autonomously on the road, ensuring that technical systems function effectively at various optician locations across the Netherlands. Your role will involve a blend of technical insight and a practical, solution-oriented approach.

The Role

You will be responsible for installing, calibrating, and maintaining high-end optical and electronic equipment. Your daily tasks will include analyzing and resolving integration and interface issues between systems, performing troubleshooting on software, applications, and network environments, and providing on-site and remote support to customers with clear explanations and solutions. Additionally, you will deliver training sessions and create practical user instructions, contribute to projects such as store openings and refurbishments, manage helpdesk activities including incident logging and follow-up, and act as a technical liaison between customers, colleagues, and suppliers. Continuous process improvement and knowledge sharing within the team will also be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

HBO level or equivalent in IT, electronics, or a related field
Experience in the medical device industry is a strong advantage
1-3 years of experience in a technical or IT-related role (junior level)
Basic knowledge of Microsoft environments; certification is a plus
Basic networking knowledge or certification is a strong advantage
Minimum B2 level Dutch (mandatory for customer interaction)
Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to remain calm under pressure
Customer-friendly, communicative, and capable of explaining technical topics clearly
Driving license and willingness to travel daily within the Netherlands
Eager to learn and invest in personal growth
