About the Role

As a Facilities Intern, you will gain valuable experience in Facility and Office management, crucial for enhancing employee experience. You will support the team in fostering a safe, engaging, and efficient workplace environment, managing day-to-day building services and operations. You will also collaborate with colleagues from various departments on event planning and onboarding new employees, providing insight into different teams and functions within a corporate office. This position is ideal for someone exploring their career path.

What You’ll Do

Office Management Responsibilities:
- Assist the office management team with daily operations to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for employees and visitors.
- Order office supplies and manage stock inventory.
- Prepare regional and international shipments with courier services.
- Verify invoice accuracy and assist with accounting tasks.
- Contribute to updating the internal office management manual.
- Help maintain office cleanliness and organization, including stock management.
Employee Experience Improvements:
- Prepare and analyze office data, such as attendance patterns, to inform future decisions based on behavioral data and HR policies.
- Support the Learning and Development department with employee onboarding.
- Review and propose improvements to the existing ‘employee goodies’ stock, sourcing providers for branded items.
Community Events:
- Manage Catawiki events and collaborate with various suppliers to enhance the experience.
- Innovate ways to engage with remote employees, who make up over 50% of our workforce, and work with stakeholders to improve the workplace environment.

What You’ll Bring

Availability to start immediately.
Enrollment at an educational institution in the Netherlands for the duration of the internship, pursuing a degree in human resources, office management, hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
Motivation to gain experience in office management functions.
Ability to lift and move objects up to 15 kg (33 lbs) frequently and maintain physical activity for extended periods.
Excellent social communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Google software such as Google Docs, Sheets, and Gmail.
Willingness to assist others and a growth mindset.
Hands-on mentality, comfortable with simple tasks.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
Required to be physically on-site in the office for four days a week (days may vary based on team schedules).
