The Role

As an English Teacher in Amsterdam, you will deliver engaging, learner-focused English lessons to adult learners, including expats and corporate clients. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting materials to meet various levels and objectives. Your role may involve teaching small groups or individual sessions, supporting learners in professional communication, business English, or general language improvement. This is a contract position that requires regular on-site presence at Language Teams’ partner locations or classrooms. You will collaborate with the local team, maintain accurate records of attendance and progress, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Strong English teaching skills with experience in classroom or small-group instruction.
• Proficiency in lesson planning and educational practices, including structured, goal-oriented lesson designs.
• Excellent communication skills to explain concepts clearly to diverse learner groups.
• Relevant teaching qualification or certification (e.g., TEFL, CELTA, TESOL) with a solid understanding of English grammar and usage.
• Experience working with adult learners, expats, or corporate clients, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt teaching strategies to different levels and learning styles.
• Working proficiency in Dutch or another European language is an asset but not required.
• Legal authorization to work on-site in Amsterdam.
