The Role
Do you want to play a key role in a significant industrial project and gain valuable on-site experience in a strategic decarbonization initiative? We are seeking a Junior Site Project Engineer to assist with engineering, construction, and permitting activities on a large-scale industrial project in the Netherlands. This innovative project, focused on decarbonizing industry, provides a unique opportunity to leverage your skills while working with a prestigious client. This full-time position requires on-site presence in the Netherlands, with accommodation and a living allowance provided by the client.
You will coordinate field engineering activities on-site, collaborating closely with the engineering office and construction team. Your responsibilities will include ensuring follow-up, expediting, and document control, including reviewing deliverables, checking drawings, and managing engineering/construction clashes. You will monitor engineering progress and contribute to project schedule updates, proactively liaising with stakeholders to ensure timely and quality deliverables. Additionally, you will plan, monitor, and report on permitting activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and verify that construction activities meet regulatory and permitting requirements. You will act as the interface between engineering, construction, and international teams while participating in Quantity Surveying (QS) activities, including checking executed quantities and verifying consistency with subcontractor declarations.
