This role is perfect for detail-oriented language professionals who excel in ensuring clarity, consistency, grammatical accuracy, and stylistic excellence in complex documents.

The Role

You will be responsible for editing and proofreading written materials, ensuring they meet high editorial standards and are free from errors.

Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and clarity.
• Ensure consistency in tone, style, formatting, and terminology across documents.
• Improve structure, readability, and logical flow without changing the intended meaning.
• Identify ambiguities, inconsistencies, and factual or structural issues.
• Enforce adherence to style guides and maintain high editorial standards.
• Flag unclear instructions, weak reasoning, or editorial risks in source material.
• Provide constructive feedback to enhance overall content quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in copy editing, proofreading, journalism, publishing, technical editing, or a related field.
• Exceptional command of English with native or near-native proficiency.
• Proven track record of high-precision editorial work with minimal errors.
• Extremely high attention to detail and ability to spot subtle inconsistencies.
• Strong familiarity with style guides (e.g., Chicago, AP, MLA, or equivalent).
• Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent quality standards.
• Reliable availability and consistent engagement.
