We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) team at DataSnipper. In this pivotal role, you will design and develop core platform systems that facilitate authentication, authorization, and access across our product suite. You will significantly influence the architecture of our platform and support other teams in building upon it. Additionally, you will engage in new initiatives like usage and credit management systems, enhancing our AI-powered products at scale.

The Role

You will be responsible for designing and building scalable and secure IAM platform services, driving architectural decisions for backend systems, and leading the development of usage and credit management systems. You will collaborate across teams to enable identity and access flows, ensure high reliability, performance, and security, and transform ambiguous, high-level problems into structured solutions. Clear communication of technical decisions and risks to stakeholders is essential, and you will also participate in an on-call rotation as a second line of support.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure IAM platform services.
• Own and lead architectural decisions for backend systems.
• Drive the development of usage and credit management systems.
• Collaborate across teams to facilitate identity and access flows.
• Ensure high reliability, performance, and security of systems.
• Transform ambiguous problems into structured solutions.
• Communicate technical decisions and risks to stakeholders.
• Participate in an on-call rotation after tech support.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend development experience (C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, etc.).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Proven ability to build scalable, reliable systems.
• Experience in system design and architecture.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude and sense of ownership.
• Ability to independently tackle complex and ambiguous problems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools.
• Extensive experience in testing and various methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Identity & Access Management systems.
• Strong understanding of security and authorization models.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Experience with container services (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Background in platform teams or startups/scaleups.
