• Manage the BTS team (approximately 25 employees with 8 direct reports) and site activities for Boxmeer, De Bilt, and Cologne.
• Lead strategic process improvements for the existing vaccine portfolio.
• Provide direction, prioritization, and accountability for site-level and cross-site activities.
• Align local activities with global BTS strategy and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with R&D to develop and refine processes.
• Drive improvements in upstream, downstream, and FPU processes.
• Resolve manufacturing and supply issues affecting the vaccine portfolio.
• Support process scale-up and ensure quality during large-scale production.
• Advise on necessary equipment modifications for process changes and new product development.
• Evaluate new technologies for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
• Lead structured problem-solving initiatives using MPS tools.
• Facilitate successful product transfers and technology implementations.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, quality, and EHS requirements.
• Coach and develop BTS personnel at the site level.
• Monitor external trends in vaccine process development for innovation opportunities.
• Support external talent scouting and academic collaborations.

• Master’s degree in technology or engineering.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience in bioprocessing, including knowledge of viral cell culture, bacterial fermentation, and vaccine formulation.
• Proven experience managing teams and developing talent.
• Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to contribute to investment decisions and technical strategy.
• Excellent command of English; Dutch preferred.
• Willingness to commute to Boxmeer, with on-site presence required at least 4 days per week.
